Intended Use

General Description

The SD/SDV-Series screwdriver tools are intended for use as end-of-arm tooling on industrial robots in automated screwdriving applications.

Screwdriving applications are defined as fastening operations using:

  • Threaded fasteners

  • Self-cutting screws

  • Thread-forming screws

The tool is designed to be integrated into a complete robot system.

Important

The SD/SDV tool is not a standalone machine and must only be used as part of a properly designed and validated robot application.

Operating Conditions

The tool is intended for operation under the following conditions:

  • Indoor use only

  • Dry environment (non-condensing)

  • Ambient temperature: 0–50°C

  • Relative humidity: max. 85%

  • Maximum operating altitude: 2000 m

Warning

Operation outside these conditions may result in malfunction, reduced performance, or unsafe operation.

Intended Application Scope

The SD/SDV-Series is specifically designed for:

  • Automated screwdriving processes

  • Controlled fastening operations

  • Use with compatible screw bits and accessories

Note

The tool must be used in accordance with the specifications, instructions, and limitations described in this manual.

Reasonably Foreseeable Misuse

Any use outside the intended use is considered misuse.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Use in explosive or flammable atmospheres (ATEX)
