Release Notes
This section describes changes to the Spin Bridge software.
Important
Updating the Spin Bridge may result in deletion or modification of stored data.
Data changes are applied incrementally. Skipping versions does not prevent data loss.
v3.0.0
Compatible robot plugins
Kassow CBun 1.0.0+
URCap 3.1.0+
Breaking changes
The OPC UA server has been upgraded to the following companion specifications:
OPC 40450-1 v1.01
OPC 40451-1 v2.00.1
All OPC UA clients must be updated to remain compatible with this version.
New features
Traceability has been significantly extended. Screwdriving results now include associated metadata such as program ID, tool ID, and custom user-defined data.
The Spin Bridge will now automatically disable the tool 48V supply if the external +48VDC_IN supply is not present.
The Dashboard now shows an error if the Spin Bridge does not have a valid 48V supply.
Fixes
An issue related to the external antenna has been resolved.
A critical issue where the tool motor would not stop during a robot emergency stop has been fixed.
The Dashboard previously displayed updated program parameters on historical results. This has been corrected so that results reflect the parameters used during execution.
Data impact
All results stored on the Spin Bridge are deleted by this update.
v2.11.7
Compatible robot plugins
Kassow CBun 1.0.0+
URCap 2.3.0+
Fixes
The Dashboard did not display system errors in the top bar. This has been fixed.
v2.11.6
Fixes
The program wizard could generate incorrect programs for tools without stall control. This has been corrected.
Minor issues related to program creation have been fixed.
v2.11.5
New features
The tightening step for tools supporting stall torque has been improved. This functionality was previously marked as experimental.
v2.11.4
Fixes
Improved compatibility of the Dashboard with the latest Firefox versions.
v2.11.3
Fixes
Internal configuration updates and patches.
v2.11.2
Compatible robot plugins
Kassow CBun 1.0.0+
URCap 2.3.0+
New features
System errors are now shown directly in the top bar of the Dashboard, making them more visible during operation.
Fixes
Updating a system with many stored results could previously take a long time. This has been improved.
Trace graphs on the results page were not correctly aligned with the plotted data. This has been fixed.
The final angle value was incorrectly displayed in radians instead of degrees. This has been corrected.
Data impact
All results stored on the Spin Bridge are deleted by this update.
v2.11.1
Fixes
Improved screwdriver responsiveness during high-load operation.
v2.11.0
Compatible robot plugins
Kassow CBun 1.0.0+
URCap 2.3.0+
Breaking changes
The angle quality parameter now evaluates the final angle (angle displacement during the tightening phase), rather than the total angle displacement.
Programs created in versions 2.9.0–2.10.0 that rely on angle quality must be updated.
New features
An improved tightening mode has been introduced for screwdrivers that support stall control.
The final angle is now available via OPC UA.
A new “Exhibition mode” has been added to the Dashboard.
Fixes
The general settings page was not visible when an update was available. This has been corrected.
v2.10.0
New features
Experimental support for calibration has been introduced for selected screwdriver models.
v2.9.1
Fixes
The screwdriver could occasionally continue tightening until an overcurrent fault occurred. This has been resolved.
v2.9.0
New features
Results now include displacement angle when used with supported tools.
Improved support for generating programs for robots using the 24V I/O interface.
Fixes
Deleting programs with many associated results could take a long time. This has been improved.
If the screwdriver lost connection while freedrive was active, freedrive would remain enabled. This has been fixed.
v2.8.1
New features
Program generation has been optimized.
v2.8.0
New features
Support for controlling the Spin Bridge via a 24V I/O interface (on models equipped with the I/O module).
Fixes
Incorrect detection of stall control support has been corrected.
v2.7.4
New features
Improved torque accuracy for tools supporting stall control.
Screwdriver faults are now automatically reset after emergency stop or safeguard stop.
Fixes
An undervoltage fault was incorrectly reported at startup. This has been fixed.
A crash could occur if the tool was disconnected during operation. This has been resolved.
Incorrect disconnection handling with Kassow robots has been fixed.
v2.7.0
New features
The system now automatically detects available WiFi networks.
Support has been added for screwdriver models with improved low-speed, high-load control (stall control).
Fixes
Various network setup issues have been resolved.
Dashboard UI settings would reset when selecting new results. This has been fixed.
A bug causing incorrect torque/current spikes has been resolved.
v2.6.0
New features
