Electrical Interfaces

Note

It is only possible to control the SD35/70 screwdriver tool through the SpinBridge box. A SpinBridge is ALWAYS required to use the system.

SD35/70 supports different control methods through the SpinBridge, making it suitable for all the following:

  • Universal Robots - URCap and scripts

  • Kassow Robots - CBun plug-in

  • I/O Control - other robots

Power and communication are established with the SD35/70 via an 8-core shielded communication cable and a 4-core shielded power cable. The communication cable provides a 24V power supply to the screwdriver control system, serial RS485 communication to the SpinBridge and safety output signals from the internal safety system. The 4-core power cable supplies the main drive motor with 48V. In case of an emergency stop the 48V supply is turned off by the SpinBridge.

An M12 8-core 3 or 5 meter shielded communication cable and an M12 4-core 3 or 5 meter shielded power cable are supplied with SD35/70.

It is recommended to use the supplied 2 m CAT6- ethernet cable. The included power cable connects to the IEC C13 male connector on the rear of the Spin Bridge.
